William Michael Wood “Woody”, of Louisville Kentucky passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 10, 2024 at the age of 70.
He was born in Louisville, KY on July 29, 1954. Mike graduated from Waggener High School and went on to play basketball at Sullivan University. He spent his career at Beltone/Avada Audiology. Mike was an avid UL fan and loved spending time at the lake fishing and spending time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Wood McCarty, William Walter Smith, Jouett Price Wood and his father-in-law William H. Hoback.
He leaves behind a loving family, his beloved wife of 39 years, Luann, his daughter Megan (CJ), his precious grand daughter Blake, mother-in-law Sally Hoback, siblings Terri Wood Giesel (Courtney), Mark Wood (Kathy), Jett Wood (Sheena), in laws Bill Hoback (Mary Ann), Chip Hoback (Michelle) and many beloved nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Rattermans (3711 Lexington Road Louisville, KY 40207) on Friday December 20, 2024 from 3:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday December 21, 2024 from 10:00am- 2:00pm with the service immediately following the visitation.
