Many of our students are food insecure.
We know how important it is to have healthy meals so they can learn and be at their best. We are fortunate to have many generous alumni and community members that help to support our mission.
The Alumni Association manages, funds, and stocks the Wildcat Food Den. This room is filled with shelf stable items, frozen and refrigerated meals, fresh produce and personal care items. We are open 2:20-3:20 every Tuesday and Friday. The students can come in to grocery shop, FOR FREE, and take food home for themselves and their families.
Healthy, well fed, students are better equipped to learn, to thrive, to be kind, and to be happy. Feed the kids, better the community.
Donations to the Food Den can be made here, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
Scholarships
Each year WHSAA awards several scholarships to deserving seniors at the Senior Awards Ceremony. In addition, we help administer private scholarships setup by individual WHSAA members.
100% of the funding of all the scholarships awarded to students come directly from donations of Waggener alumni.
If you would like to donate specifically to scholarships, please designate that on the standard Donation form, and if you’re curious about setting up a private scholarship, please reach out.
Data supports the principle that recognized individuals continue to succeed throughout future endeavors.

The Brickyard
The Brickyard is a meaningful symbol of support for Waggener – powerful evidence that former students continue to cherish their high school and have made a financial commitment to that end.
The Brickyard stretches from the Veteran’s Memorial back toward the stadium entrance – a beautiful boulevard of WHS support.

Hall of Fame
The Waggener Hall of Fame (HOF) was created to recognize and celebrate notable students who have walked the same halls as every other Alumni Member and have achieved significant successes in their post-Waggener lives, or achieved that significant accomplishment while a student.
Each year (roughly) new members are inducted and they are recognized at a dinner celebration that everyone is invited to.

Through this program, the Alumni Association provides a significant portion of the total unmet need for all sophomores within the CollegeNow program to gain college credit.
Within the Health and IT&Law Academy curriculum, the sophomores take a college level World History course, for college credit. The Alumni Association helps pay the costs for this course relieving the families of that burden.
Alumni Support
Our mission is to ‘engage alumni’ – and we do that in many ways.
From helping classmates stay connected, plan Reunions, to maintaining the collections and archives in the Alumni Room – we want to support your needs as a proud Waggener Alum any way possible.
